New Development
After we launched 3 years ago the first wireless interface with Bluetooth in the low-cost section the next logical step was a WLAN interface with TCP/IP. It offers possibilities for worldwide diagnostics via internet.
As reported by Heise-News on 11-27-2007 BMW is experimenting also with IP networks for cars, see Heise-News and Heise-Autos. So we are again within the trend of car technics.
ElmCanII-WLAN:

WiFi 802.11b/g, WPA, WPE. Only usable with diagnostic software ScanMasterELM-OEM for wireless connection to WLAN equipped computers/laptops and access-points (WLAN-Router). Several pages configuration tool via browser for: network type (Access-Point or Point-to-Point), Encryption (WEP-128, WEP-64 or WPA-PSK), IP address (static or dynamic), netmask, gateway, DNS, portnumber and much more. Preconfigurated for quick start with Adhoc connection. ElmCan-II
Again a worldwide Novelty from the OBD-II Pioneer CarCode Müller:

ElmCan-II OBD Interface 500,000 Baud

Outside as the well-known ElmCan-USB, but inside with new technology, which is useless without the suitable software. The ElmCan-II USB is delivered therefore with the only software so far which supports 500 kiloBaud. That is:

ScanMaster-ELM V1.6

Equipped with the new chip version of the original ELM327 V1.2 IC (see description) the diagnostic system ElmCan-II with ScanMaster-ELM v1.6 is actually the fastest low-cost OBD diagnostic system. And this for the same price than the previous model (see pricing). Hardware and software from one supplier is a warranty for a functional system.

Conclusion: We don't copy the ideas of others, we develop new ideas to outstanding tools.

ScanMasterELM and ScanMasterELM-OEM v1.6 supports now also all Alfa Romeo without OBD-II with Bosch ECU Motronic M1.5.5, ME7.3.1 und ME3.1. The updates may be downloaded by users.

ElmCan interface wireless
After we introduced in November 2004 the worlds first low-cost OBD-II interface with wireless Bluetooth technic (the Heise newsticker has announced it), we are able to offer now the ElmCan OBD-II interface with Bluetooth (ElmCan-BT). Our 3 years experience with OBD-II over Bluetooth helped us for this new product:

ElmCan-BT

The new ElmCan-BT supports - as all of the ElmCan series - all OBD-II protocols including CAN-Bus. In contrary to competitor products every distributed software product for ElmCan interfaces was entirely tested with the new ElmCan-BT and now released. The ElmCan-BT is suitable for

• Laptops/Notebooks with biuldin Bluetooth or Bluetooth dongle
• Pocket-PC (PDA) with Bluetooth and Win-CE or Win-Mobile all brands
• Smartphones (with Win-Mobile) all brands
• Internet Tablets as e.g. Nokia 770 or N800 with embedded Linux (Python needed)

Even the popular ScanMasterELM software will be available for Pocket-PC and Smartphones with Win-Mobile soon.

Most of all computer devices with Bluetooth are supported this way. The ElmCan-BT ships now with 92 pages documentation with extended addendum of Bluetooth installation for different devices:
